EXP and Leveling Up

EXP, short for experience, is how pokemon grow. It is a strictly OOC number that, as it increases, also increases your pokemon's level. It can be awarded via victory in battle, completed topics, and special events.

In order to calculate how much experience needed to level up, take the total number of your current EXP and look at the table below. It shows how much TOTAL EXP is needed to level up to the next level. In other words, the number does not reset for each level up.

When in battle, if the foe is higher level than you, you gain experience equivelent to the foe's level x10. If more than one pokemon defeat a pokemon together, then they split the EXP evenly. If the foe is of equal or lower level, than you only gain exp equivalent to the foe's level x5.
