When Three Trainers Collide <3 (Bastion & Silver)

Pidgeys could be heard chirping away as the sunlight poured in through the tree line, showering the sleeping blonde and her two companions in warmth. The fire she made had extinguished sometime during the night, all that remained from her hard work were the ashes and circle of rocks.

Lucy slowly opened her eyes and sat up, slowly waking up from her wonderful dreams. Sparky and Eirakie stirred in their sleep, the sunlight peacefully waking them.

“Good morning, you two!” She happily exclaimed, gently rubbing their heads as they both began to sit up as well. Sparky rubbed his eyes with his paws, the electric rodent wishing to sleep more while Eirakie, the newest addition to their team, quietly waited to see what they would do next. Lucy began getting ready for the day, changing into her daytime clothes inside her sleeping bag- in case anyone was at the Coast and nearby.

Her clothes consisted of a purple, sleeveless shirt (basically a crop top) that cut off just above her navel, with a white strip across the chest and white frill at the top, and a black skirt that reached from her hips to mid-thigh. Attached to the skirt was a purple belt that she used to keep her pokeballs on. Lastly, she donned on a small, black leather jacket, the sleeves ending just after her elbows, and black fingerless gloves. She shoes consisted of black combat boots, with an inch of heel to them.

To finish off her look she tied her long, blonde hair into a high ponytail, styling a purple bow on top of the hair tie. Then she of course did other routinely things that people do in the morning, such as brushing her teeth.

“Done!” She turned toward her two Pokémon as she finished placing her sleeping bag back into her light pink backpack,  both of the Pokémon she would keep out of their pokeballs for the time being. “Ready to get some breakfast now?”

“Croooa!””Pika pi!” Their enthusiastic cries were all Lucy needed to hear to know they were very hungry. And so, they set off to wander the Coast, trying to find a tree or bush full of berries or fruit.

Lucy was distractedly looking up at the trees while she walked instead of looking where she was going, which could turn out to be her biggest mistake if she weren't careful.

Bastion awoke with early that morning with a small fluffy Eevee curled up beside him and a slightly larger fluffy blue mouse flopped out a small distance away, smiling at the adorable pair.... He had let Aqua, as he now dubbed the Marill, out of her ball last night before bed, introducing her to her new partner, Horus and giving her a new name... Surprisingly, after that fight, the two pokemon actually got along well together and even played a bit before falling asleep... It warmed his heart now, looking at them both that they were so comfortable around one another... it took a huge load off his mind.

Unlike some trainers, Bastion didn't believe in confining his pokemon in their balls until it was time to eat or battle. He preferred to think of them as partners more than pets, preferring they walk alongside him rather than at his waist.

He lightly poked the little Eevee's side, the adorable little thing rolling over in it's sleep, exposing it's belly. Bastion rubbed it lightly, causing the pokemon to let out a soft squeak of approval before opening his eyes.

"Time to get up buddy..." Bastion murmured before reaching over to Aqua and giving her the same belly-rubbing treatment. She too awoke though she was less happy about it, glaring at her trainer, annoyed before rolling up to her feet and letting out a wide yawn... Then Eevee yawned... and then Bastion caught it too. He laugh softly and offered his arm to Horus for him to climb up onto his shoulder before he started breaking camp, Aqua being so kind as to put out the fire he had set up with her watergun. In a few minutes, they had their camp all packed up and ready to go, thanks to Aqua's help... she was really becoming an asset to the team... She walked alongside Bastion in opposition to Horus, the three of them just strolling through the trees, looking for any convenient berries to make for breakfast... Specifically, Bastion was looking for Oren and Sitress berries, the most delicious in his opinion... He could hear little Horus' stomach growl from where he sat and he only had to look at Aqua's expression to see how hungry she was... Heh... he hoped he found some soon...

As if it were an answered prayer, Bastion came into a clearing with a tall tree in the center, several berries dotting it's many branches... It was like the breakfast-tree came into town that day and it was JUST the pick-me-up he needed to wake up.

"WELL! Time for breakfast, eh guys?" Bastion chuckled, glancing at Horus and Aqua... their eyes were pinned on the tree and their mouths were watering...

It seemed as if they had been searching for hours, or so the two hungry pokemon thought as their stomachs started to rumble and growl increasingly louder, but it was actually only ten minutes of searching before they entered a large clearing, an enormous tree towered in the center, its branches rich with an assortment of colored berries. Sparky took one look at the tree and ran straight for it, already knowing what Lucy would ask him to do. He didn't even realize there were others in the clearing, his eyes set on the berries alone.

Lucy and Eirakie noticed the other trainer and his pokemon. Lucy recognized one of them as an Eevee, due to it being one of the options given to her by the professor as a starter, yet the blue mouse pokemon’s name eluded her. The trainer himself was taller than she and had long, dark hair. He seemed kind enough based on his expression as he looked at his pokemon, and she thought he was cute as she got closer. She had walked over to them, planning to introduce herself when she got close enough. Eirakie walked alongside her, as Sparky was at the base of the tree now and about to start climbing up it and Lucy just let him be as that's just the kind of Pokémon he was.

“Hello there!” She called out to the other trainer with a short wave of her right hand, stopping a few feet away from him. A soft smile graced her features whenever she stopped talking, “My name is Lucy Ryūzaki, and this is my friend Eirakie. The Pikachu over there climbing is my friend Sparky.”

Bastion blinked in surprise as a Pikachu came out of absolutely nowhere and began scaling the tree, seemingly just as hungry as he and his pokemon felt...

"What is that...?" He murmured, whipping out his pokedex.

Pikachu. The electric-mouse pokemon. It stores it's natural electricity in bright-red pouches on it's cheeks. Is capable of powerful electric shocks.

The dex spat out a response, a general description of the pokemon scaling the trunk. He gazed in wonder, his hand already reaching for his pokeballs on his belt, wondering if he could catch this one too... the diversity would no doubt aid them all... Before he could do anything, however, a voice rang out through the air to his right, a sweet, soft voice that belonged to a woman... He turned to see a girl he didn't recognize, blonde and fair of face, dressed in a way that he could only either describe as either trainer or hiker. She was actually... quite cute he had to admit, that friendly smile on her face, though his own expression wouldn't give these thoughts away. He raised an eyebrow at her approach, then glanced down at a strange... humanoid toad/frog pokemon walking alongside her... Before he offered his own greeting, he turned to face his eevee on his shoulder whispering in his ear:

"Go see if you can grab some breakfast for us, would ya buddy?" The Eevee nodded and smiled widely before breaking for the tree not unlike the Pikachu had a moment before.

"'Sup. He greeted with a rather casual wave, his expression neutral and his eyes tired. Aqua squared up with the strange frog-pokemon beside it's trainer, staring up at it bravely despite her being a full foot shorter. The girl introduced herself as Lucy Ryuzaki, then her pokemon as Eirakie and the Pikachu in the tree as Sparky.... appropriate.

"Oh, so that was yours..." Bastion inquired, glancing over at the tree as Horus and "Sparky" raided it for all it was worth. "Well... I'm Bastion and this here is Aqua... She's a Marill if you didn't know her species. And Horus is over there in the tree with your Pikachu. We were just on our way to get some breakfast... I assume you were here doing the same?" Her smile was as contagious as pokerus and he soon found himself sharing one, though it was nothing compared to the grin on her face. Aqua glanced between Bastion, then Lucy, then Eirakie, holding her gaze with the female pokemon, almost as if to assert herself. The attempt only made the trainer smile more.

The man raised an eyebrow at her approach before turning and whispering to the eevee perched on his shoulder. The little fox pokemon leaped down and began to run towards the tree, giving Lucy the impression he had asked the eevee to go collect berries just as Sparky had taken it upon himself to collect berries for them.

At her warm greeting the trainer casually responded, “sup”ing her and wave in a nonchalant manner. Bastion was soon discovered to be his name, and the cute mouse Pokémon at his feet was called a marill, which he nicknamed Aqua. It was a befitting name for what she presumed to be a water type based on her colors.  Bastion also mentioned the eevee was named Horus and Lucy thought the name was adorable.

“Ah, my apologies!” She exclaimed as she realized she had not staid what kind of pokemon Eirakie was the way he said what Aqua was. “Eirakie is a Croagunk in case you were unaware of her breed.” The blonde felt a little bad at her bad manners, but tried not to let it show as they continued talking. “Your assumption is correct. Would you and your pokemon like to join us for breakfast on this lovely morning?”

It was then that she noticed he was smiling, the soft expression bringing out the sparkle in his eyes. He looked quite nice with a smile dancing across his visage. Him smiling caused her to smile wider, if that were even possible.

Eirakie, while the two trainers spoke, looked down at the tiny mouse in front of her. She was amused by the mouse’s antics, trying to square up to her and stare her dead in the eyes, as if she needed to look tougher to defend her trainer. Eirakie had no intentions of attacking, at least not without the commands of her trainer. Therefore she stood calmly, a relaxed expression on her face.

Sparky was enjoying his time picking berries, collecting a variety of berries he thought looked tasty. The appearance of Horus climbing the tree did not phase him, since the tree was big enough for the two of them to harvest together. He greeted the little fluffy Pokémon with a high pitched “Pikaaaa pi!”, slightly waving at Horus.

"Ah... A croagunk, huh...?" He asked as Lucy told him what exactly that pokemon was AND that she was a female... Huh... Certainly a unique pokemon... He'd have to get one for his team someday...

"Oh, no it's fine." Bastion assured her, waving away her apology. "Sure... We would love to join you, wouldn't we, Aqua?" The Marill broke her gaze from the croagunk before her, giving her trainer a dubious stare. She looked past him to the tree full of berries and her stomach let out a loud growl, one that could be heard from where the trainers were standing. Bastion smirked and rolled his eyes, scooping up the little Aqua-mouse in his arms. She struggled a bit surprised to be suddenly picked up but eventually relaxed in her trainer's gentle grip. She pulled up her ball-like tail and wrapped it around her as well,

"Hey Lucy, lets go set up under the tree, huh? That way we won't have to go far for our food. We're all hungry after all." Should she agree, Bastion would carry Aqua over to the tree where Sparky and Horus were, the little Pikachu greeting the Eevee with wave.

"Eevee!" he greeted back warmly. The fox-like pokemon jumped from branch to branch with surprising agility, looking for the biggest berry on the tree. Little did he know, with each branch he jumped too, he shook them lightly, a few of the larger berries coming loose and falling gently to the ground. Bastion flinched in surprise as one fell right onto his lap were Aqua sat, landing right in front of her as if answering her craving. The aqua-mouse pokemon wasted not a moment and quickly devoured the fruit into nothingness in a matter of seconds.

"Maaaarilll!" She cried happily, her hunger finally relieved somewhat. More berries kept falling as Horus kept hopping branches, the trainer looking around as more fell from above... It was literally raining berries!

"Hallelujah..." Bastion muttered under his breath, surprised with his pokemon's ingenuity. "Horus!" Bastion called up. A second later, the Eevee poked his head out of the leaves, gazing down at the two trainers and their pokemon.

"Eevee...?"

"Keep doing what you're doing for a little while longer, buddy!" The pokemon cocked it's head, confused, but then he saw all the berries on the ground, already being scooped up by Aqua, then remembering how he jumped from branch to branch a moment ago...

"Eevee!" He confirmed before slipping back inside the tree. "Eevee!" He cried, jumping from branch to branch until he got to Sparky, resting on the same branch he was. "Eevee!" He tried to explain what the plan was, lightly jumping to a higher branch, staring as one of the berries fell from it to the ground.

"Eevee!" he would say once more before hopping around the lower branches once again. With Sparky's help, they would have enough berries for a large breakfast in no-time and, after a few minutes, Bastion would call down his pokemon, the little eevee jumping from it's branch down into his trainer's arms only to be met with a beautiful sight: A pile of berries just for them... all thanks to their hard work... the small pokemon ogled the pile before it was suddenly met with a new berry, one Bastion held out to him with a smile on his face. It was the largest Pecha berry he had ever seen and he was offering it to his Eevee for consumption...

"Congratulations on a job well done." He grinned, setting his pokemon down with his food. Eevee would begin digging in and Aqua was already helping herself, the trainer sharing a quick grin with Lucy.

"Do you like your berries cooked or raw?"

“Yes indeed!” She happily replied to his inquire about croagunk, although she wasn't sure if it was really a question or him thinking aloud.

Lucy was quite thankful when he assured her that she didn't need to apologize, glad he didn't think she was rude. “Yay, I'm glad you'd like to join us!” Came her energetic voice. She truly was happy he agreed, they would get to talk and learn more about one another. Bastion was the only trainer she's met so far on her journey, although that could be due to her having just started her adventure recently.

A chuckle escaped her lips as the marill’s stomach growled loudly, a signal they should all start preparing for breakfast. With a smirk and an eye roll, the young man bent down and scooped up the little mouse. Aqua seemed confused at first, fighting to get out of his grip, but soon settled down, comfortable enough to wrap her ball like tail around herself.

“Great idea, Bastion!” With her agreement, they both started walking towards the tree, Eirakie walking alongside Lucy yet again. She had not tried to carry the frog pokémon, unsure as to if she wanted to be held or not.

A few large berries dotted the group underneath the tree, and more rained down upon them as the eevee jumped from branch to branch. Lucy almost got hit twice, but Eirakie was able to jump up and catch them before they hit her. She graciously thanked the croagunk, who appeared to be more ninjaesque than a regular pokemon. Sparky had just been sitting and collecting his berries, waiting for Lucy to catch them like they had normally done, but once Horus got to his branch and began explaining the plan, he used his thunderbolt shaped tail to knock off the small pile of berries he had collected onto the ground, a fiery look in his eyes as he said “Pika!” back at the eevee. Jumping would be more entertaining than just sitting and collecting, he thought.

Eirakie ran around collecting the berries, aiding Aqua, while Sparky and Horus jumped from branch to branch. Sparky was beginning to enjoy the eevee’s company, as it was fun having a pokemon to run and jump around with. Eirakie was a more laid back, reserved pokemon than he was, so it wasn't too fun playing with her all the time.

After a couple of minutes the four pokemon had gathered quite an impressive pile of colorful berries, some she had not ever seen before while others like the pecha berry she had seen. “Sparky, you can come down now.” She gently called up to the pikachu as Bastion called eevee back. The electric mouse jumped down from his own branch and landed in her out stretched arms, similar to what Horus had done. Sparky’s eyes lit up with pride as they fell upon the pile, he felt accomplished at helping gather all those berries.

Lucy kept one arm around the pikachu and used her free arm to gently rub his head, praising him, “Great job knocking the berries down, Sparky!” In response he nuzzled her hand, purring out, “Pikaaa pi!”. Then she gently placed him on the ground, allowing him to begin eating while she turned to Eirakie, placing her hand on head and gently rubbing it as well. “Great job collecting all the berries off the ground, Eirakie!” The croagunk stared at her at first, curious as to why she was being praised for such a menial task, before accepting such praise, enjoying the head rub.

It would take a bit of time for the newly caught pokemon to warm up to being praised and congratulated easily, as she was not used to such kind words out in the wild. But this just reaffirmed why the croagunk chose to accompany Lucy on her journey. Eirakie went and joined the other pokemon after Lucy suggested so, picking up a random berry from the pile and tasting it, soon finding that she liked the berry.

Lucy stood up, having been crouching to speak to Eirakie, as Bastion grinned and asked her how she preferred her berries. She blinked in surprise, moreso over herself than him, at realizing she could have cooked the berries this whole time instead of eating them raw, although she didn't mind eating them raw.

With a chuckle over her own idiotic self, she replied, “I prefer them either way. I kind of forgot I could cook them, so this whole time I've been eating them raw.” She cheekily grinned, still finding herself to be such a ditz sometimes. “How do you normally prepare yours?”

If he said he preferred to eat his raw, then she'd pick up a pecha berry to eat, as that was one of the few berries she knew would taste pleasant for humans.

If he said he preferred to eat his cooked, she would politely ask if she could cook her berries as well. It had been a while since she had a warm meal, and she wouldn't miss this great opportunity offered to her.

Another long journey to one place to another completed. A while into the journey, Silver had put Diamond back into her Pokeball. He waited until he saw the water to release her to have her fun in the water. The smell of salt water came and Silver knew he was close. It was beautiful, Silver would be crazy not to love a site like this. Luckily, Silver had the right mind and loved it. He figured Diamond would love the site as much as he did. He was right to think so, because as soon as he did so, Diamond ran to the beach and to the shore line and thrashed around in the shallow water what only went up to the middle of her leg. Silver soon got where she was. He took off his shoes and rolled up his pants so they wouldn't get soaked. Soon, Silver was in the water, felt slip by his toe and behind his ankle, it was great. Eevee was doing the same, both of them were facing out towards the water. "It's this great, Diamond?" She nods and smiles, "Eve!"

They stand there for a couple minutes before Diamond hears something and looks behind her. Silver looks as well but as soon as he asks what she was looking at, as he didn't seem to hear it, she bolted towards the tree and toward Lucy, Bastion and their crew. "H-hey! Diamond, wait up!"

Diamond appears to the group from a bush. "Eevee!" She said in excitement. Diamond starts to come over to Bastion before Silver could be heard from ways away. "Diamond?! Where did you go?!" Soon, Silver found everyone, including Diamond. "There you a-" as soon as he tried to finish his sentence, he tripped over a stuck up root. How embarrassing. Diamond frantically ran over to nudge his shoulder.

"Oh... You know... Chop them into bits, fry them lightly in pan, give them a little spice to compliment their sweetness...Sometimes I add some of the tasteless ones two for extra substance, you know? Makes the meal more filling." Lucy had stated that she enjoyed them either way but actually forgot that you could actually cook these things. Bastion rolled his eyes and chuckled, his gaze eventually falling on his little eevee who was just finishing off his reward berry. He couldn't help but offer his hand to the little furry pokemon, running his fingers through his soft head-fur as he smiled softly. Horus paused upon feeling his trainer's hand, letting out a soft purr-like noise that seemed to indicate how much he enjoyed being pet.

"If it's all the same to you, I'll grab a few and whip us up something nice. I have some cooking gear in my pack and I'll need a few minutes to make a fire but yeah! In a few more than that I'll make you a nice hot fruit salad." He then leaned in a bit, looking at Lucy slyly as if telling a secret. "And don't worry... I'll save a few just in case something goes horribly, horribly wrong." Bastion let out a small chuckle before getting to work.

It would take a moment or two but Bastion managed to extract a small compact camping pan from his bag along with a small fire-starter (for camping reasons) along with some kindling he managed to find at the base of the tree which came down along with the berries their pokemon graciously provided. He had somehow managed to nab a small arm-full of berries from their RAVENOUS pokemon, practically having to sneak by just to grab ONE! Okay, it wasn't that bad but he had to be quick about it because the poor things were tearing through their food like a knife through hot butter. Especially Aqua... she seemed especially ravenous... she had to keep up her thick-fat after all...

A few more moments would pass and the sweet, and actually quite mouth watering smell of cooking berries would fill the air. He would scoop a small amount of chopped berries onto a paper plate, one of the many camping items his family with well-trusted to provide before handing it to his new friend, Lucy, the sweet-spicy scent reaching for her nose. Bastion would sit down next to her with his own before handing her a plastic fork.

"Cinnamon-sugar sauce over assorted chopped berries..." Bastion presented, nodding lightly at the rather gorgeous artwork in their hands if he did say so himself. "Bon appetite... I think..." With that he would dig in first. It was only proper etiquette for the chef to test his own food before the customer so that if it's poison... well... better him than the person he was serving in any case...

Luckily, Bastion got something right this time... it was delicious at least to him... the sweetness was wonderful, the spice was just as hot as it needed to be and the fruit was cooked just enough to have this nice tender skin over the soft juicy parts inside... everything seemed perfect...

"Well, what do you think?" He asked.

Just then, someone came faceplanting into the clearing not to far from where they were set up, Horus' ears immediately perking up and his head raising in surprise as this newcomer came into the clearing oh so gracefully.

"Ouch." He muttered under his breath, his eyes eventually falling on his pokemon new nudging it's trainer's shoulder in an effort to get him up.

"Another Eevee huh... Hey Horus, look at that..." But he was already looking... staring actually... He couldn't take his eyes off of the Eevee off the distance... He seemed entranced... enraptured in a way... Even Aqua, who had just finished her umpteenth helping of berry noticed her team-mate's stillness and lightly poked him with her flipper-like hand... he didn't respond. His eyes were too firmly locked the female Eevee off in the distance for him to notice. Bastion looked from him, to the other pokemon, then to Aqua and let out a loud guffaw-of-a-laugh.

"Oh ho ho... Horus... I didn't think I had it in you... Hey buddy! You okay?" Salzem called over to the fallen apparent trainer.

It was intriguing to watch the young man go into detail about how he cooks his berries. She could feel his passion for cooking through his words, almost tasting the cooked berries as he spoke of them. The way he made them was on a completely different level to her own skills, as she would not have thought about spices or mixing the berries, which could just be due to her lack of knowledge about the berries edible for humans.

As his words came to a halt, and she felt no need to reply, Bastion smiled while he looked down at his partner, eevee, gently petting his head and inducing a purring sound from the little creature. She smiled softly as she watched the encounter between the two, it warmed her heart to see the love of a trainer and their pokemon.

She smiled warmly at his offer, gratefully accepting it, “That would be quite lovely, thank you, Bastion. I'm excited to see what a professional can create.” At this moment Bastion leaned in closer to her, a sly expression covering his once smiling face, and said in a smug tone that he would save some berries in case something went terribly wrong. Then he chuckled and stood up, fetching his cooking supplies from his bag. Lucy didn't mind how close he had gotten, as he was still a good distance away from her, but wondered what had inclined the man to do and say such a thing. Was he joking with her, knowing that he wouldn't mess up? She wasn't sure what his actual motive was, but she didn't linger on it for long as she turned her mind to another topic.

As he reached into his bag and began pulling out his utensils, she wanted to feel useful to him and asked, “Do you need any help setting up or preparing the meal?” She didn't want to make the poor man do everything on his own, however, it seemed he was prepared enough to handle setting up his kitchen himself, as he pulled out an impressive looking set up from his bag. He had a compact cooking pan (Lucy never ever knew such a thing existed), a fire starter which seemed to have been a useful item that she lacked, and some kindling he had found near the tree that must have fallen when Sparky and Horus were jumping to drop berries from the branches.

Next were the ingredients. Bastion was able to grab a small arm full of berries while he pokemon were eating, or more like hungrily stuffing their faces. Sparky helped himself to more berries than she felt like counting, and Eirakie ate more than she had the past few days but she wasn't as monstrous as the others when it came to the food. Bastion took the collected berries and began preparing them to be placed on the plan, cutting them into small pieces that would then be cooled until the skin of the berries was just tender enough tender and not too hard.

A delicious aroma wafted through the air as his berries finished cooking. He scooped some of them onto a paper plate, which he conveniently also remembered to bring along with him, and handed the plate to her before making himself a plate and sitting beside her on the vibrant, soft grass. The mere scent of the food was intoxicating, making the girl hungrier than she thought she was. Bastion handed her a fork as he sat down and she graciously took it, placing it on her plate as she waited somewhat patiently for him to test his creation. She bet the food tasted as good as it looked, which was quite beautiful.

She chuckled lightly as he joked, saying bon appetite before he took a bite of his creation. A few moments of him not saying anything bad about his cooking gave Lucy the signal to start eating her own food. Her eyes widened in mild surprise as she downed her first bite, the savory taste of the sweetness mixed well with the hot spice he added into it. It was a perfect blend that melted to her taste buds.

“This is wonderful! Best meal I've had in ages. Thank you so much, Bastion!” Lucy praised genuinely, an appreciative smile on her lips. Since she left for her journey she wasn't quite as prepared at Bastion was, and, therefore, had subpar meals- but she was thankful to have even found food during her travels.

It was at this time that a nearby bush rattled, and a boy fell out, planting face first onto the ground with a loud thump! Lucy turned around quickly, and after she saw the person on the floor with his eevee nudging him as best she could, Lucy gently placed her plate on the ground and got up, running over to him. She bent her torso down, and softly smiled as she extended a hand out towards him, saying, “Here, let me help you up.” If he accepted her help, she would bend her knees and pull upward, helping him get back onto his feet. Concern laced her voice as she looked at him after he was standing on his own once more, “Are you alright?”

Sparky’s ears perked up as the newcomer made their grand entrance, and he stopped eating his berry to observe what was going on. If, and only if, the man tried to hurt Lucy, the protective electric rodent would release a stream of electricity from the red pouches on his cheeks, Thunder Shocking the man (and probably Lucy as well, since she would be in the crossfire). Eirakie turned to also observe the new development, sensing no evil intentions from the man but still being weary in case he was dangerous (although she doubted he was due to his clumsy way of entering).

What the real tragedy was, however, was Lucy missing the complete and perfect moment Horus was having with the unaware female eevee. His entranced eyes not leaving her as she tried to help her trainer and make sure he was alright. If she had seen that, or heard Bastion’s commentary, she would have audibly awwed at the two eevee’s, finding it absolutely adorable that Horus was falling for her. It was love at first sight, and she would have hoped the female eevee felt the same way. It would be a cute little love story.

"Ow..." Silver used his arms to bring himself a bit. Diamond was by his side and a man and woman. The man asked if he was alright and so did the lady. "Y-yeah I'm okay, thanks." He got up with the help of Lucy. Diamond was oblivious to the other Eevee giving her a looking at. Silver dusted off, even though his face still a bit dirty, and then looked at the two trainers. "Sorry to interpret your meal," He apologised first then introduced himself and Diamond, "I'm Silver and the Eevee's name is Diamond." Diamond looked around Silver to inspect to make sure he was alright all over. Once she was done, she jumped into Silver's arms, which he was ready for a caught.

Silver looked at the group. The lady had long blonde hair, brown eyes, she wore a leather jacket and a short top that exposed her belly button. Silver did mentally note the big breasts but that was a minor thing to him. What he was most worried about was how skinny she was. He was hoping they weren't just eating berries after observing the cooked berries.

Next was Bastion. Bastion was a darker looking guy with his black hair, black eyes and black jacket. Nothing else stood out to Silver except he looked great in his jacket.

Silver couldn't tell which Pokemon belonged to which trainer or even if they are wild Pokemon attracted to the wonderful smelling cooked berries. He then looked to Diamond, "You scared me for a moment." He told her gently. With all the observing, he forgot to ask who they were.

It seemed that the stranger's Eevee had either completely ignored Horus or didn't even notice his presence despite him not even being that far away... While Lucy ran off to go help the stranger up, Horus' expression dropped slightly, his ears folding against his head in something of defeat, convinced that he just wasn't good enough to warrant such a prize as Diamond. He had been completely looked over... And Bastion saw it... Heck, even Aqua saw it... Her face took on a more sympathetic look, softly patting the poor eevee's back with her paw...

Bastion glanced between his pokemon's and the stranger's, a small smile forming on his lips as he came up with a plan... He wasn't just going to let his little buddy feel dejected like that! He was going to introduce this eevee to his. Bastion quickly scooped up the little guy in his arms, Aqua cheering on her trainer as he did so, making his way up to the guy who had gotten to his feet.

"Morning, stranger. My name is Bastion and this here is Horus. Say hello, buddy..." The little eevee only hid his face in his paws, occasionally looking out from under them at the female down by her trainer's feet.

"Eevee..." He said weakly.

"Anyway, it is proper trainer etiquette for us to engage in a battle when two strangers meet each other... How about we do a little one on one?" He glanced at Lucy, realizing that he had already violated etiquette with her but he hoped she would understand what he was trying to do here... "What do you say, friend? Your eevee verses mine?" He turned back to Lucy, a hopeful look in his eyes.

"Would you care to moderate? I'm sure you'd do great..."

With a sigh of relief, Lucy pulled the young man to his feet, thankful he didn't injure himself from the fall. The young man, once he was back on his feet, began dusting himself off, although he missed some dirt on his face. If she had a napkin or towel on her person at that moment, Lucy would have impulsively wiped the remaining dirt off his face- because who wants to walk around with a dirt covered face? Most people would not.

The young man, as Lucy finally took in his appearance, had long, striking white hair, and wore a large, dark colored jacket. His complexion was fair and his face was gentle, she could tell just by looking at it that he was a kind man. He apologized, something she didn't feel was necessary since it was an accident, and introduced himself. The name Silver suited him well, complimenting the name of his partner, Diamond.

Lucy beamed at him as she said, “No need to apologize, Silver. It was an accident, and we hadn't really started our meal yet anyways. My name is Lucy Ryūzaki, and” she gestured to the pikachu and croagunk that were watching the encounter, “the pikachu is my friend Sparky and the frog-like pokemon is a croagunk, and she is my friend Eirakie.” She felt obliged to specify croagunk’s species in case he was similar to Bastion, unaware of what kind of pokémon she was.

It was then that Bastion showed up beside them, Horus in his arms although the little guy seemed upset, covering his face with his paws. Lucy wondered what happened to the cute little eevee, since she missed him being star-struck by Diamond and rejected.

Until she noticed he occasionally glanced down at the female eevee, and she understood immediately what was going on. Horus thought Diamond was cute, but it seemed Diamond either didn't notice or didn't care. Lucy silently rooted for Horus, finding the idea of them finding love to be so sweet.

Bastion brought her out of her distracted thoughts of the eevee’s as he mentioned battling Silver, glancing at her for what she presumed to be a hint. He was trying to show off Horus to Diamond. Lucy didn't know Bastion was this kind of trainer to play matchmaker, but she liked where this idea was going and would certainly help him out.

After asking for Silver’s opinion and if his answer was a yes, Bastion then turned to look at her, a gleam of hope swaying in his dark eyes. She smiled reassuringly at him as she accepted, “Of course I’ll moderate for you two! I'm ready whenever you both are.” Then she would back up, giving the two trainers their space, and wait for them to each say they were ready.

If both trainers said they were ready to begin the battle, she would announce in her best moderator voice, “This is a one-on-one Eevee battle between Bastion and Silver. Battle, begin!” She would then raise her left hand straight up, signaling the start of the battle. It would be an interesting match to witness, two eevee’s fighting alongside their passionate trainers. Lucy secretly hoped Horus would come out on top, to impress Diamond as the tough little ball of fur he was.

Sparky and Eirakie both watched with intrigued eyes, witnessing their first pokemon battle up close. It fired up the little electric rodent, making him want to battle as well. Eirakie could care less, she wasn't battle driven but she would battle if she was asked to battle.

The Eevee in Silver's arms smiled at him, he smiled back. Once told Lucy told him that everything wasn't ruined, he sighed a sigh of relief. Lucy introduced herself and her Pokemon. Bastion did as well. So Lucy got an electric type, a very cute one I might add and a Crogunk. While Bastion had the Eevee like Silver did. When he saw the Eevee, he looked sad or shy, Silver wasn't very sure himself. After Horus said hello, he bent down the Eevee and pet behind his ears, he hoped it wasn't him that made him upset. As Silver knelt down, Diamond look over from his arms and looked the fellow Eevee in the eyes.

Silver guessed that his trainer saw his Pokemon in distress, which is good, there is nothing better than a Pokemon and Trainer bond, cause the next thing Silver knew, Bastion asked him to a Pokemon battle. The white haired trainer stood up and smiled at his challenger. "Sure, that sounds fun." Diamond was just as excited for the battle, she lept from Silver's arms and onto the dirt, not far from Horus. An Eevee on Eevee battle, this could be fun.Silver thought. Diamond must have thought it too because she had the smile plastered all over her face.

After Lucy said she'd watch and moderate the battle, she began the match, Diamond v Horus, Battle of the Eevee's and Battle of the sexes. "I'm guessing you don't want this to be easy, so Diamond, Sand attack!" Diamond followed and started kick dirt and debris at her opponent Horus.

With Lucy's agreement, Bastion stood on one side of their chosen field, his eevee hesitant but willing on one side, the kid with his Eevee on the other... Horus seemed nervous, almost unwilling to do the entire thing, his eyes almost unable to lock onto his opponent... He didn't want to fight Diamond... He wanted to IMPRESS her... Unfortunately, that seemed to be the only way at the moment... At the start of the battle, Diamond wasted no time splashing Horus with a cloud of dust, the arc striking the Eevee right in the face where it was intended... Horus shook his head and coughed, trying desperate to paw the earthy substance out of his eyes.

"Horus, clean yourself off and use Sand-attack as well. We might as well make this an even playing field!" Bastion commanded.

Horus' eyes barely opened, his poor little eyes tearing up from the pain of having gritty sand all up in such a sensitive area. Still, through his blurred vision, he turned around and began kicking up dirt with his back legs, sending it flying towards Diamond's face just as she did him.

As soon as she announced the battle, Diamond jumped from her trainer’s arms, landing gracefully on the ground below. She got ready to fight, patiently awaiting Silver’s orders. Horus, on the other hand, seemed hesitant at battling the girl he was infatuated with. But it seemed he trusted Bastion’s judgement, realizing that maybe battling, and winning, was the only way to get her to notice him.

Right after the start of the match, Diamond and Silver kicked things into gear by using Sand Attack, flinging sand from the ground into Horus’ little eyes, blinding him and bringing his accuracy down. He shook his tiny head, tears swelling in his eyes at the foreign particles that invaded them, his paws trying to bring his eyes relief.

Then Bastion told Horus to clean out his eyes and use the same move, to level out the playing field. The little Eevee could barely see, his vision cloudy from the tears, but he complied to his trainer’s wishes. Horus turned around and kicked up a dust storm of sand just as Diamond had done, blinding her precious eyes as she had done his.

Lucy announced for the battle, thinking maybe they would enjoy some commentary, “And the battle begins! Both trainers not hesitating to strike! The field has been leveled as both Eevee’s used Sand Attack, decreasing their vision and, thus, lowering their accuracy! What move will they both pull off next?” Maybe they were annoyed with her commentary, but she was just reenacting what most announcers do when hosting a live performance, at least all of the ones she has seen.

Sparky was getting all fired up from watching the battle, his eyes ablaze with a fiery passion to battle. Eirakie sat quietly, intently watching. She had never seen a real battle before, and was taking mental notes of what she might expect if she were to partake in a match.

Both Diamond and Silver were surprised by the response. One, their attack was a success which was a good reason to celebrate. Silver was more surprised with the opponents attack, which was the same as theirs, he wondered what Bastion had in mind. Diamond was more confused at the beginning of the battle, she noticed that the other Eevee wasn't very enthusiastic about the battle like she was. She had never run into a Pokemon that didn't want to do battle. Most of what she thought though changed after the counter attack. She was now blinded with sand like he was. Diamond's eyes watered to get the sand and dust out of her eyes, she tried to help with wiping her eyes with her paws. "You ok Diamond?" Silver asked, very concerned. "Eevee!" She nodded to her trainer. Silver couldn't help but smile at her determination. "Good, then use tackle." He told his partner. She gave a smirk to Horus and then charged at him with her whole body.

Bastion smiled as Horus' sand attack struck home, blinding the female eevee just as she did him a few seconds ago. The male eevee seemed disconcerted that his attack actually hit, his legs tensing as if he wanted to run over there to her side and wipe her eyes out for her. Still... he stayed... waiting for his next command... as painful as it may be... As if the other trainer read is mind, the two of them commanded their pokemon to do the same move, their Eevee's tensing up.

"Horus!" Bastion commanded. "Tackle attack!" It was then that the Eevee began charging down at his female counterpart, picking up more and more speed as the two charged one another...

If it hit, Horus and Diamond would slam into each other, perhaps coming to a stand-still as the two struggled to gain some kind of ground on the other... Meanwhile, Horus would be blushing somewhat under his fur for being this close to her...

On the other hand, if it missed, Horus would have still been too blinded by Diamond's sand-attack that Horus couldn't get his bearings well enough and he ended up steering too wide at the last minute before impact. Diamond's head would slam into Horus' side, knocking him clean to the ground at his trainer's feet...

While the battle went on, Bastion smiled somewhat as he overheard Lucy's commentary, quite enjoying what she had to say! Aqua stood beside her, cheering on her partner eagerly!
